Receptionist Job Description
We are seeking a well-presented and customer-oriented Receptionist with strong communication
skills in English, Sinhala, and Tamil. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling
front-office duties, welcoming visitors, answering calls, and providing administrative support. A
background in sales and marketing is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and Welcome Guests: Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, providing a
warm and professional welcome.
- Answer and Direct Phone Calls: Manage incoming calls and emails, ensuring prompt
responses and routing inquiries to the appropriate departments.
- Customer Service: Handle inquiries in a friendly, efficient manner, providing accurate
information about the company’s services.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling
appointments, managing office supplies, and maintaining records.
- Document Management: Ensure proper filing and documentation of forms, reports, and
other important records.
- Sales and Marketing Support: Provide basic support to the sales and marketing teams
when required, including handling promotional materials and assisting with customer
outreach.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, Sinhala, and Tamil (spoken and written).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma in office management,
business administration, or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience: Proven experience in a receptionist or front office role; experience in sales
and marketing is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer Service Orientation: Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic office
equipment
